St. Ann’s Warehouse Technical Study

Parsons School of Design M.Arch Year 1

What makes a building adaptive reuse? Generated for my Masters of Architecture Construction 1 class, these drawings of St. Anne’s Warehouse explore the renovation of the Brooklyn Tobacco Warehouse into a flexible performance space by the architecture firm Marvel. The project included detailed technical drawings and design diagrams, all generated from a digital 3D model created through research and site visits.

A technical Section, Elevation, and Plan view of the East Wall of the building emphasizing the original masonry and the glass brick facade

Two exploded axonometric diagrams. The first diagram demonstrates the renovated foundations, steel structural system, and added slab roof and glass brick windows. The second demonstrates how the newly renovated space is used.

A diagram demonstrating the removal of three of the original 5 warehouse floors well before the current renovation began.

A “worms-eye” view of the final building, showing pile foundations, the steel structure, and the added interior walls.
